Our children’s choirs in Munich offer children and young people the opportunity to discover their voices, develop their musical abilities and experience the unique joy of singing together.
From their first musical steps to the challenging work of our concert choir, we support each child individually and in an age-appropriate way throughout their musical journey.
The Right Choir for Every Child
Our children’s choirs are structured according to age and musical development. This allows children to grow step by step – from their first experiences of singing together to the challenging work of our concert choir.
Boys and girls sing together in our choirs. Alongside musical education, we place particular importance on community, mutual support and the joy of making music together.
What Children Gain from Singing in a Choir
Regular singing develops musical hearing, a sense of rhythm, concentration and a greater awareness of one’s own voice. Children learn to listen to one another, take responsibility for the collective sound and experience what it means to be part of an ensemble.
At the same time, they develop breath control, body awareness and musical expression. Rehearsals, concerts and joint projects strengthen concentration, independence and confidence in performing.
Community is equally important: teamwork, respect, reliability and mutual support are as much a part of everyday choir life as the joy of achieving something special together.

Auditions for Our Children’s Choirs
Joining one of our children’s choirs begins with a personal audition. We would like to get to know your child and their voice and find out which of our choirs is the best fit in terms of age and musical development.
Your child can prepare two children’s songs or folk songs. Afterwards, we will do a few short exercises focusing on voice, melody and rhythm. The audition usually takes about 15 minutes and takes place in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
The audition is free of charge and without obligation.
