On 16 November we cordially invite you to our anniversary concert. Our anniversary programme is dedicated to the theme of "Flying". The human desire to be able to fly is a recurring theme in poetry and music, and flight is one of the clearest metaphors for happiness and freedom. Flight is one of the clearest metaphors for happiness and freedom. It symbolises mankind's primal dream of leaving all hardships and difficulties on earth and soaring carefree into the sky. Song motifs such as "to be carried on wings by the wind", "to fly above the clouds", "to be free like a bird" or "the flutter of the butterfly" reflect this dream.
We offer you a musical flight of fancy! While flying without mechanical assistance remains a dream, on this evening we fly with the wings of song across borders, cultures, and eras.
The concert will feature 2 children's choirs from the School of Choral Arts as well as the new vocal ensemble "The Voxxettes".
Our special guest this evening is the young Russian pianist, winner of international piano competitions, Ivan Yarchevsky
